Project: Pelican Place

Location

Est. Completion

Laguna Beach, CA

Fall 2025

Pelican Place, tailored for lifestyle. We positioned the kitchen close to the bluff edge for a pristine, natural view from the windows. The courtyard maintains an open-space connection with neighbors. It provides shelter from the occasional brisk breeze, creating an outdoor living space with an uncompromised ocean view. Tactile stone walls anchor to the bluff, juxtapose with the lightweight roof structure like pelican wings soaring above.

Courtyard Rendering – The sanctuary of the courtyard provides protected outdoor living without sacrificing ocean views. A hot tub and fire pit encourage warm family gatherings.

Front Rendering – An approachable front entry shelters the path into the home. It introduces the soul of the architecture, while the ocean view reveals itself as you enter.

Rear Rendering – Connecting with family and connecting with nature. When you reach the rear of the home there is little left to do but enjoy the fruits of life.

Project: Campanilla

San Clemente, CA

Winter 2024

When it comes to southern California coastal living, we often hear the mantra, “views are everything.” Re-orientating the main entry and living spaces allows this home to maximize its ocean views. We transformed the facade from a traditional style to modern while maintaining the integrity of its original courtyard.
